Ohio Columbus Barber Papers 1854-1919

Ohio Columbus Barber (1841-1920) was a business executive of Akron, Ohio. He co-founded the Barber Match Company, which was succeeded by the Diamond Match Company. The collection consists of correspondence, statements, stock certificates, mortgage bonds, railroad passes, automobile registrations, proposed constitution and bylaws for the National Match Company; newspaper clippings of Barber's family; single letters from George B. Cortelyou, Marcus A. Hanna, and Booker T. Washington; and statement (1907-1908) of the Diamond Match Company.
